| Self-tapping threaded inserts are suitable for creating heavy-duty, wear-resistant and vibration-proof fastenings in materials with low shear strength, such as aluminium, brass, bronze, cast iron or duro and thermoplastics. Threaded inserts with cutting slot are tapered at the bottom and by screwing in they cut their own threads inside a receiver hole. Furthermore, threaded inserts with cutting slot have a screw locking effect because they spring slightly inwards in the cutting slot area in some materials. |
